I assume you've heard "Jay-Z is Dead", the mash up of Jay-Z and Grateful Dead tunes? It's great.

Guilty pleasure, for which I make no apologies, is Dusty Springfield's "Dusty in Memphis" and anything Annie Lennox has ever done.

Tupac did one like that with Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is". I have a Bruce show (sorry, don't rmember the date but could find it if anyone's interested) that has it playing on the house pa as Bruce comes out...

keep me in mind with that Bruce show (love hornsby) for maybe our next trade. no need to copy it for our current dealings - methinks i'm gonna be buried under a pile of discs (as if im already not) and be unable to breathe. i'm already totally overwhelmed by all the kind folks out here trading and sharing with me.

Roger dodger! How you doin' today Wolf? I'm a huge Bruce fan too... really miss those Grateful Polkas!

Hey, I saw a couple threads mentioning JJ Cale. Is someone else doing "the Road to Escondido" for you? If so, I'll through something else in...

And furthurmore! Do you have Hornsby's Harbor Lights? I do have an extra copy of it.

not doin too badly - hope you are doin well today also :)

To be honest, I'm not really sure who is sending what as far as JJ goes. I am totally and utterly confused. Between tigerbot, johnnyonthespot, and you (i think all three of you are in on this), my mind has gone haywire. I'm not used to three people being so kind all at once as to opening my ears to some "new-to-me" music. If I get doubled up on anything - I'll reoffer back out on the LMA.

As far as Harbour Lights - my ex has my copy and she loves the cd. If you literally have an extra that no one else wants, sure I'll take it, but i don't want to be greedy. That is a great disc. Thank you very much for that offer - but if you know of anyone else more in need - please offer to them first.

Harbor Lights is yours. I ordered it through the GD Store, they accidently sent me two and told me to just pass it on when i offered to return it. Passing on any duplicates you may get works for me... Share the wealth, spread the word, pass the lord and praise the ammunition!

I am doing well, have the next 4 days off! Tomorrow is the 2nd anniversary of my "cheating death" day so I play it safe and stay very low key...

No need to go private, may have piqued others' curiosity as well...

I was driving to work on the 101 freeway on 11/30/04 about 3 in the afternoon. Blacked out behind the wheel at 70+ mph, went across two lanes of traffic, rolled across an on ramp and ended up halfway up the freeway embankment looking back the way I just came! Didn't have a scratch on me! Well
, I did get a little nick on my pinkie finger digging my phone out of the broken glass between the seat and door.Almost a whole drop of blood! EMT's insisted I take an ambulance ride though, got xrayed from head to toe, no damage,ER Doc & nurse said I was going to be sore as hell for a week or so and that never happened either! Felt fine the next day! No one else was hurt either and I only barely clipped one other vehicle! Wish there was film, witnesses said it was pretty spectacular.

Superstitious? Me? Yeah a little, something about the 30th of the "1" (january & november) months. On 1/30/ 03 I had a ladder go out from under me, fell about 10 feet onto the ladder and hardwood floor and got out of that one with only a broken (not badly either) arm! I don't work or do anything on that day either! Both true stories, I was there!

Sorry, no film at 11! Yeah the arm wasn't a lot of fun, but that one could have been much worse too. Good thing I landed on my head!!! Chuckle, chuckle, not really...

WOW!

Did Jay-Z actually do this/approve it himself, or is put together by someone else?
Must be him, right? I'm amazed!

Most of these mash ups were done by someone else. There are several out there. Mainly done with his "Black Album." A couple of great ones are "The Grey Album" a mix of black album and The Beatles White Album. "Black and Blue" a mix of black album and Weezer's Blue Album. "Blackest Album" a mix of jay's black and Metallica's black. I know there are more but these are some of my favs.
